The TAP CEO stresses that the realization of the 49.9% privatization process of TAP should be completed in the next 12 months.

Luís Rodrigues made statements during this Wednesday, October 8, at the World Aviation Festival, an aviation fair that takes place between 7 and 9 at FIL, in Lisbon. He himself highlighted the importance of the operation continuing to work in full.

When privatization is completed, “The worst that can happen is the one who comes to say that these people are paralyzed”at the risk of the new shareholder to want to dismiss workers.

On the other hand, “If you see they are doing a good job, they will want people to stay”reiterated, before leaving the guarantee that “being paralyzed is not an option.”

It is recalled that in July, the Government approved under the Council of Ministers the process of privatization of 49.9% of the capital of TAP. Of this installment, 5% should start to belong to the workers of the air carrier. This means that the state will remain a majority shareholder.
