Considering a bridal session? The answer is YES! Do it. Amanda’s Bragg-Mitchell Mansion bridal photos in Mobile, Alabama were absolute perfection — she’s SO stunning!

For those of you that don’t know, a bridal session is a separate session with the bride, in her wedding dress, before the wedding day.

You’ll coordinate with a few of your vendors to make it happen: your photographer (hey!), florist, hair and makeup, and the venue where you will be doing your session at. This can be your wedding venue or an entirely different place — it’s up to you!

Plus, it’s a great time to see what you’ll look like on your big day (and make any tweaks).

The Bridal session

Amanda and her groom, Carlos, got married at the historic Bragg-Mitchell Mansion. The entire property is incredibly stunning — it feels so timeless.

Our bride wanted to take the ease off of her timeline for her wedding day with a bridal session at the Bragg. We couldn’t have been more excited to make it happen!

On the day of the session, we started out in the circular driveway in front of the large white Antebellum-style mansion. The wind was out to play but we were thankful for it for at some points for a little natural movement… and some of the most beautiful veil swoops!

We made our way up to the large wrap-around porch, and with the help of Amanda’s sweet mom, we swept off some fallen leaves from the trees above. It was entertaining and a workout all on it’s own! It was worth it though because the porch shots are probably our favorites! They have a certain regal elegance with the tall white columns in the background.

As the sun was reaching peak golden hour, we made our way down the steps for that perfect glow.

If you’re on the fence about doing a bridal session, our suggestion is to DO IT. You won’t regret it! It checks one thing off from your wedding day timeline. And because of the wedding setup with tables and tents, these photos wouldn’t have been able to happen in the locations we chose around the property.
